This is where all the promotion packages, (CD/DVD/Poster etc) look the same, for example the image, font, colour scheme. This is done so that the audience can identify what the poster is trying to promote/sell whether this is the artist or the song/album. The band/artist has particular things that people can relate to, so they know who it is when they see it. For example they may have a particular image or logo to show the audience who the band is, and they will automatically know who it is without seeing or hearing them.
The outward expression of a brand, including its name, trademark, communications is brand identity. Because the identity is assembled by the brand owner, it reflects how the owner wants to percieve the brand. Furthermore, the brand name should be on target with the brand demographic.
We made sure that there was brand identity with our products; magazine advert, digipak(front cover, inside panels, back cover) and our music video. This allowed us to help the audience identify with what each product was trying to promote/sell.
