Me and Khem pitched our ideas and concept to the class, and after the pitch we recieved feedback from other students and also the teacher. We then took these into consideration and this is our feedback and how we have changed them:
what editing should we use?
We have chosen to use slow paced edits where the lyrics are emotional so that the audience can sympathise for the female and her situation. We have decided to use fades and dissolves, when the female is going through all her old memories in the photo album so that it seems like all her memories are fading away
do we have a female lead?
we do have a few females in mind that have said they would like to help us, all the people that we have in mind are good actors and reliable so we can count on them to give a good performance
what is the narrative of our music video?
The narrative that will be playing throughout the background of the music video is about how the female is leaving the past behind her, and moving on after a bad break up with an ex boyfriend and realising that she was stupid to love him, and now the only way to move on in life is if she does it alone
what camera shots and techniques should we use?
The main camera shots that we were going to use are close up's so that you can see the expression on the females face and it matches the lyrics of the video, also using long shots will show the audience the female protagonist and the location where the video is set which helps amplify her isolation now shes alone
do we have some ideas on where to shoot our music video?
we have chosen on locationg it in an isolated place, for example a empty field or street late at night when there is no-one around, so that it emphasises her isolation from society.
